AIA DANCE AGE DIVISIONS

Scoring

A hybrid version of the comparative scoring system with rubric system component will be used in the tournament.

Scores for each team will be announced live at the tournament once finalized.

All Star Dance Divisions

U16: Hip Hop, Jazz, Pom, Contemporary/Lyrical
U18: Hip Hop, Jazz, Pom, Contemporary/Lyrical
Open: Hip Hop, Jazz, Pom, Contemporary/Lyrical

AIA U16 Modified

- AIA HAS EXPANDED THE BOTTOM AGE IN THE U16 DIVISION TO 10 YEARS OLD.
- THIS IS AN EXCEPTION OFF THE GLOBAL TOURNAMENT ONLY. 
- ATHLETES MUST BE 10 YEARS OLD BY JULY 15, 2026. 
- 9 YEAR OLDS MAY NOT PARTICIPATE IN THE TOURNAMENT 

Division Changes

Teams are allowed to change divisions in the level the received the invitation to the tournament in.
Teams may NOT change their level.

Tournament Rules

The Championships will follow IASF guidelines for routine safety rules.

Some modifications may be made based on the AIA Rules Committee

Minimum of 12 athletes required to compete.

Fair Competition

No country will be prohibited from competition in any level or division within the AIA Global Tournament.

No country will be guaranteed passage to any round or placement.
